OAK-D W PoE

The OAK-D PoE W is a wide field of view alternative to the standard Series 2 PoE model. It features an IP65-rated enclosure with industrial-type connectors, making it suitable for harsher environments. This camera is able to cover larger areas and/or be more effective in multi-camera setups.

The PoE connection enables the cameras to communicate with other computers using networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT etc. With the device flash memory on our PoE models, you can also run your programs in standalone mode. Furthermore, our OAK PoE cameras are housed in a rugged, IP-rated enclosure that is required for industrial and outdoor use.

Having a wide FOV enables you to capture a larger area in a single shot, which can be incredibly advantageous for various use cases such as:

1. In multi-camera setups, a wide FOV can reduce the number of cameras required to cover the entire area.
2. For Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), a wide FOV is beneficial for covering a larger area and obtaining more features for localization and 3D mapping.
3. Object tracking and counting applications can also benefit from a wide FOV, such as vehicle or people counting over a larger area.

The OAK-D W POE comes in two different versions - a standard variant that features the IMX378 RGB camera, and a special variant that is based on the OV9782 RGB camera.
