Introducing the OAK-D Pro W PoE, the ruggedised version of the Series 2 OAK Cameras. This advanced camera includes an IR laser dot projector and IR illumination LED for exceptional night vision capabilities, making it the ideal choice for a wide range of projects. Furthermore, the OAK-D Pro W PoE offers a wider field of view, allowing for a more diverse range of applications.

The Series 2 OAK Cameras come equipped with an industrial M12 PoE connector for both power and communication capabilities. Unlike traditional RJ45 connectors, this heavy-duty connector is built to withstand harsh industrial environments. Additionally, the camera features an M8 connector for IO connectivity, including USB2 (D+, D-), camera IOs (FSIN, STROBE), and two auxiliary IOs that are capable of UART, I2C, or GPIO.

For applications that demand high-quality and dependable stereo depth perception in any type of environment, including low-light and texture-less scenes where traditional passive stereo approaches may struggle, it is recommended to use the Pro version of the camera.

Having a wide FOV enables you to capture a larger area in a single shot, which can be incredibly advantageous for various use cases such as:

  1. In multi-camera setups, a wide FOV can reduce the number of cameras required to cover the entire area.
  2. For Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), a wide FOV is beneficial for covering a larger area and obtaining more features for localisation and 3D mapping.
  3. Object tracking and counting applications can also benefit from a wide FOV, such as vehicles or people counting over a larger area.

Key Features:

  • M12 X-Coded Ethernet, 802.3af PoE, 1 Gbps Ethernet
  • M8 connector with quite a bit of IO flexibility, including USB2 host
  • IP65 Sealed casing/protection
  • IR illumination LED: allows perceiving low-light and no-light environments
  • IR laser dot projector (active stereo): improves depth perception, especially for low-visual-interest surfaces (little or no surface texture)
  • 4 TOPS of processing power (1.4 TOPS for AI)
  • Run any AI model, even custom-architectured/built ones
  • Encoding: H.264, H.265, MJPEG - 4K/30FPS, 1080P/60FPS
  • Computer vision: warp/dewarp, resize, crop, edge detection, feature tracking
  • Stereo depth perception at 120 FPS with filtering
  • Object tracking: 2D and 3D tracking
  • Dimensions: 111 x 40 x 31.3mm
  • Weight: 184g

The OAK-D Pro W comes in two different versions - a standard variant that features the IMX378 RGB camera and a special variant that is based on the OV9782 RGB camera.
