  • Complete Synchronisation: The frames of two cameras are synchronised at the hardware level.
  • Wide Compatibility: Works with both Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson Nano/Xavier NX and can also be extended to other platforms that have MIPI CSI-2 interface and standard Video4Linux2(V4L2) driver.
  • Supports Changing Framerates: Modify the frame rate anywhere between 5fps and 70fps. If the specified frame rate surpasses the maximum limit, it will be adjusted to the maximum value accordingly. The minimum value follows the same rule.
  • Mono Global Shutter: Capture high-speed moving objects with exceptional clarity and precision. By avoiding rolling artefacts, you can obtain a complete and accurate picture, surpassing the limitations of rolling shutter Pi cameras. With a frame rate of 70fps at 1280*2 x 800 on Jetson, you can enjoy smooth and detailed footage.

The Arducam stereo camera bundle kit comprises of two synchronised OV9281 global shutter cameras and an Arducam Camarray stereo camera HAT. This bundle allows for the simultaneous operation of dual cameras with an adjustable baseline, providing enhanced prototyping and evaluation capabilities using a single MIPI CSI camera slot. The two image sensors are located on separate camera boards, allowing for easy repositioning to capture different perspectives, while the Camarray HAT takes care of the remaining tasks. This flexibility is particularly beneficial during the proof-of-concept stage, where more options are desired compared to a fixed stereo camera module. By utilising this bundle, you can determine the optimal baseline for your specific application.

Important Notes

  • Supported platforms are Raspberry Pi 4, 3B+, 3, 2, B+, B, A (when using Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye (Jan 28th, 2022 and later) and libcamera apps. It is also supported by NVIDIA Jetson Nano, Xavier NX, AGX Orin, Orin Nano and Orin NX (JetPack4.6/L4T32.6.1 on NVIDIA Jetson Nano/Xavier NX).
  • This kit is released for official Raspberry Pi/Jetson Nano/Xavier NX boards by default and does not support other third-party boards.
  • Raspberry Pi and Jetson board are not included in the package.
  • This bundle kit is not recommended for Raspberry Pi Zero.
  • The OV9281 cameras in this kit are special and cannot be used directly on Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
  • The I2C signal and clock of each camera are fully synchronized. It is unavailable to capture the same frame of images at different exposure times for each camera.
  • The lens on this camera is not interchangeable. If you need to replace the lens, please contact us.
