What are the benefits of using a GigE interface camera?

GigE is a well-established and trusted technology due to the many protocols available, such as GenlCam. It is well-suited for a wide range of applications, including high-resolution cameras, real-time image processing, and robust data transmission. Furthermore, because of its twisted shielded pairs, this interface does not suffer from interference due to external sources such as RF (Radio Frequencies). GigE enables long range data transfer, with cable lengths of up to 100m, whereas USB is up to 7m (without optical/active cables).

What are the Z series cameras?

The Imaging Source Z Series zoom cameras come with cutting-edge global and rolling sensor technology (ranging from 1.2 MP to 5 MP), ensuring a broad field of view and impeccable image resolution for monitoring and low-light operations. These cameras are available in both colour and monochrome variants. The focal length and focus of the cameras are swiftly adjusted by their accurate stepper motors, enabling a seamless zoom transition from fully zoomed-out to fully zoomed-in in less than 6 seconds. Additionally, they feature software control for autoiris and mechanical IR-cut-filter switch, enhancing their versatility and ease of use. These cameras are perfect for applications where variable working distances, object sizes, and lighting conditions are an issue.
