This camera stands out with its impressive sensor size, the largest available in the Raspberry Pi market. It delivers stunning image quality with a resolution of 9248 x 6944 pixels. Additionally, it offers a remarkable 10x digital zoom, allowing users to capture subjects at different distances while maintaining flexibility in framing. Moreover, the camera boasts a maximum exposure time of up to 900s at its highest resolution, ensuring exceptional performance even in challenging lighting conditions. Its sensor size empowers the camera with outstanding light-sensitive capabilities.

This camera provides effortless integration with libcamera, ensuring a smooth and trouble-free experience for Raspberry Pi users. There is no requirement to modify any configuration files as it offers a true plug-and-play solution straight out of the box.

The camera offers a range of focus choices, such as auto-focus, manual focus, and continuous focus. Whether you desire precise control over focus or prefer a more hands-off approach, this camera can accommodate your individual requirements.

Important Notes

  • This camera module supports the latest Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye (Jan 28th, 2022 and later) and libcamera apps.
  • Raspberry Pi 2/3/Zero W may not be able to enable maximum resolution due to RAM. Please make sure your platform has RAM greater than or equal to 1G. Capturing maximum resolution on the Pi 4 and CM4 may be impacted by CMA, which can be fixed by switching the GUI mode to terminal mode.
