A Kickstarter Campaign For A New 16MP Autofocus Camera For The Raspberry Pi

A Kickstarter Campaign For A New 16MP Autofocus Camera For The Raspberry Pi

Arducam, an innovative designer and manufacturer of embedded camera modules has developed a new camera for the Raspberry Pi that offers the best specification available so far from any RPi compatible camera.

Previously, the highest performing camera for the Raspberry Pi was the HQ camera offering 12MP at 40fps. The new design utilises the Sony IMX519 sensor and is capable of 60fps at full resolution plus a lot of other enhancements such as improved colour reproduction and crisper image quality.

In addition to the advanced specifications, the camera will retail at a significantly lower cost than previous models.

The camera is initially available to subscribers of the Kickstarter campaign which runs from 30th November to 30th December 2021. All early adopters will qualify for a discount on cameras on a limited number of products that will be made available in January 2022.

Scorpion Vision is very proud to be a collaborator on the Kickstarter project and will hold stock on Arducam's behalf for our UK and European customers, on a first come first served basis.

Pricing for the new 16mp IMX519 Autofocus Camera is as follows
