Arducam recently launched a new camera product for evaluation. Having carried out some testing with various sensors designed for mobile phones, they selected a 1/1.5" sensor with an integrated, motorised lens.
The camera offers 12000 x 9000 effective pixels at 1.3fps (or 11fps at 12 megapixels).
Other specs include a MIPI 2-lane interface which can be used with a USB3 shield, enabling usability with most operating systems, including Windows.
